Understanding the New Framer Pricing (Oct 2025)

Framer just updated its pricing, but what does each plan actually include? In this post, we break down the new structure, key limitations, hidden costs, and tips to help you choose the right plan for your next project.

A clear breakdown of what changed, what you get, and how to pick the right plan for your site.

On October 9, 2025, Framer rolled out a major update to its pricing model. The move condensed the previous five-plan structure into just three main tiers — Basic, Pro, and Scale — plus the Free and Enterprise options on each end.

While the intention was to simplify things, the reality is… well, it’s still a bit of a puzzle.

So let’s break it down — what’s included in each plan, what’s changed, and how to know which one fits your needs best. I’ll also cover some details that don’t show up on the pricing page — like how editors are billed, what’s scalable, and when things like bandwidth can bite you.

Let’s get into it ↓

⤷ Overview of the New Framer Plans

Framer now officially offers:

  • Free
  • Basic – $10/mo
  • Pro – $30/mo
  • Scale – $100/mo
  • Enterprise – custom pricing

✔︎ Free Plan

You can build full sites, explore all the core features, and even publish — but there are two big limitations:

  • No custom domain
  • A small “Made in Framer” badge stays visible

You get:

  • 10 CMS collections
  • Full design capabilities
  • Perfect for learning, testing, and drafts

✔︎ Basic Plan – $10/mo per site

✔︎ Pro Plan – $30/mo per site

✔︎ Scale Plan – $100/mo per site

✔︎ Enterprise Plan – Custom pricing

✦ Editors Explained

🧠 Pro Expert Program: You can invite 1 Pro Expert as an extra editor for free.

✦ Locales

Each additional locale costs $20/mo, across all plans.

→ Alternatives like Weglot exist, but may break SEO (no hreflang, broken sitemaps, etc.).

✦ Bandwidth Estimates

Assuming average page weight = 4MB.

If your portfolio pages are heavier (~15 MB), even the Basic plan can cap out at ~670 views/month.

Final Words

Framer’s pricing now encourages more thoughtful planning. It’s easier to understand on paper, but you’ll still want to dig into the fine print — especially when it comes to traffic, team access, and bandwidth.

If you’re not sure where your project fits, it’s always worth running a quick audit. Or better yet, talk to your Framer dev.
